If there is one thing we learned about the NBA All Star Weekend is that cameras are around every corner. During these three days you will see media from around the world come down to a city and report everything revolving around the NBA.
We also learned that it was going to prove difficult to get a one on one interview with anyone. Getting a scoop was close to impossible, more than likely if you were interviewing a player there was a camera immediately behind you capturing the same thing.
As soon as we realized this we knew we had to alter our game plan for the weekend in Houston. Aside from the many interviews we would record, we set out to film all that happened behind the scenes during the weekend. That included everything from cameras being mounted, light shows being practiced, artist performing sound checks, players rehearsing their entrance, and the many cameras scrambling to get a good angle.
It was then that we knew we had the opportunity to give our viewers a first hand perspective of what the media gets to see court side and behind the scenes. We tried to keep our cameras rolling at all times, allowing us to film everything happening around us.
From the celebrities that walked by the freight elevators the media had to take to reach the event level, to the NBA legends and stars that would roam the hallways and many rooms of the Toyota Center.
So here it is for your enjoyment and to put you in our shoes, a video from the point of view (POV) of Vivelohoy.
