I just sat down to read Emilie Le Beau’s article in today’s Red Eye (“Confessions of a Lip Balm Addict,” Dec. 4). I cannot tell you how much I agree with her statements and how much I am also addicted to lip balm. I carry them everywhere.
I make my husband stop at the drugstore wherever we are if I find out that I left one of my 50 tubes at home. It drives him nuts but he understands now. I can’t live a day without it, especially in the Chicago weather.
I just got to work. I read the RedEye every morning after getting off the “L”. I sat down, read the article and immediately started to panic. I couldn’t find my Blistex. After frantically searching for 10 minutes, I was relieved to find a tube in my desk. Thank you Emilie for telling people like me that we are not alone.
