Amparo Maldonado, 87, died Saturday in her home in Gurnee. She was born in Mexico. She is survived by two daughters, Elsa Spriggs and Gloria; four sons, Carlos, John, Joe and Serafin; a sister; a brother; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 8 to 9 a.m. Thursday in Marsh Funeral Home, 1521 Washington St., Waukegan. Mass will be said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 501 S. Utica St., Waukegan.
