Handgun ownership is the topic of a debate sponsored by the Institute for Metropolitan Affairs at Roosevelt University. Two Chicagoans will consider whether residents should be allowed to own handguns. Dr. Katherine Kaufer Christoffel, professor of pediatrics at Northwestern University School of Medicine and a physician at Children’s Memorial Hospital, will argue against the proposition. Daniel Polsby, a professor of criminal and constitutional law at Northwestern University , will argue the affirmative.
