Elizabeth Taylor, 75, a Bensenville homemaker remembered for her devotion to her family, died Sunday, Aug. 27, in her home. “She loved crossword puzzles and was a fanatic when it came to cleaning the house,” said her husband of 52 years, Robert. Mrs. Taylor was born in Chicago and raised in the Andersonville neighborhood. She was an active member of St. Charles Borromeo Church. “We were engaged on my birthday, Aug. 30, married on her birthday, Nov. 29, and she’ll be buried on my birthday,” her husband said. Mrs. Taylor often was gently teased about her recognizable name, her husband said. “And my name only added to it,” he said. “She was a good woman, and I loved her.” Mrs. Taylor is also survived by a son, Robert; a daughter, Marybeth Panfil; and four grandchildren. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York St., Elmhurst, followed by mass at noon in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 135 Daniel Drive, Bensenville.
