Gabriel Garcia Marquez, widely hailed as Latin America’s greatest living writer, remained hospitalized for a sixth day on Tuesday.
The 72-year-old Nobel laureate’s condition was unknown because he ordered a news blackout on his health.
The prestigious Fundacion Santa Fe clinic issued no additional word on the Colombian author since releasing a statement over the weekend saying he had been admitted suffering “general exhaustion syndrome.” A source close to the family said he was recovering.
