Mike Royko should be ashamed of himself for his negative and sarcastic remarks about the city of Green Bay, Wis., and its citizens. It`s obvious that the Bears-Packers rivalry has gone too far.
I agree, Green Bay is not one of America`s garden spots, but Chicago can`t claim such a glamorous title itself. Any normal person can clearly see that Chicago has more than its share of problems-ranging from corrupt politics to the nation`s poorest public school system.
So until any of these negative aspects of Chicago are enhanced, there shouldn`t be anyone bad-mouthing the people of Green Bay. Maybe Mr. Royko`s mind has been warped from being in Chicago so long. Open your eyes and take a good hard look at your garden spot!
