Guy Fieri revisits Big & Little’s in Chicago and the Shanty in suburban Wadsworth on a new Food Network series that is set to premiere July 13.
On “Triple D Nation,” Fieri stops by restaurants he highlighted on his Food Network show “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” to see how they have changed since their small-screen debuts. Fieri was spotted filming at Big & Little’s Near North Side location in April.
Big & Little’s was featured on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” in November 2011, while the Shanty was highlighted on an October 2009 episode. The Shanty owner shows off new menu items, including braised pork shanks and goat cheese wontons, on “Triple D Nation.”
While in Chicago in April, Fieri also attended an event at the Chicago Theatre for Discovery, Inc., which owns the Food Network. He was also photographed at La Scarola during that same trip. The West Town restaurant has not been featured on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.”
He was spotted outside Loop restaurant Saucy Porka, which will be included on an episode of “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” that is scheduled to air Aug. 3. Manny’s Deli will be featured on an episode set to air Aug. 10.
