SCENE: “Jazzin’ at Club DeLisa” with the Chicago Chapter of The Links Inc. The benefit brunch raised funds for the Lakefront SRO.

HEARD: The Black Ensemble Theater had the joint jumpin’, if you can call the Westin River North a joint, with a ’40s-style floor show starring Big Band swingers “Ella,” “Sammy,” “Sarah” and a few more one-name wonders.

LINKAGE: The parents of chapter president Shirley Roberts and her sister Thelma Smith were DeLisa devotees. Invitations to the brunch featured a treasured photo of the couple at the former South Side nightspot. “[My aunts] think it’s their party,” joked niece Monica Thomas, who is also a Link.

HOT LINKS: Well-dressed women don’t enjoy cooling their heels for a meal, even if it’s Southern cuisine: They could become Ragin’ Cajuns.
