A man (guest star Mos Def) awakens in a New York hospital after a bicycle accident, unable to move or communicate. House (Hugh Laurie), assigned to an adjacent bed after a motorcycle mishap, diagnoses the patient as having “locked-in syndrome” and gets him sent transferred to Princeton-Plainsboro, where the team tries to “unlock” him. Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) is more suspicious of why House refuses to divulge the reason he was in New York.
