Jesus A. Perez, 24, of 39 S. Lake St., is free on bond after he was charged with battery and criminal damage to property, police reports said. Perez, who reportedly was intoxicated at the time of the Friday incident, went to a neighbor’s house and grabbed the woman when she answered the door, reports said. She told him to leave. He did, but later returned with a baseball bat and broke a number of the house’s windows, reports said. Police later found Perez lying on his living room floor bleeding from wounds caused when he broke the windows, reports said. He was taken to Condell Memorial Hospital, treated and released, reports said.
