Joliet 1, Sandburg 0: Top-ranked Joliet (22-3, 5-2) prevailed in the SICA West behind Mary Jaszczak (15-1), who tossed a two-hitter with 10 strikeouts. Heather Suca scored the lone run on a single by Kristen Capista.

Lincoln-Way 2, Stagg 0: Lincoln-Way (12-10, 2-5) blanked No. 8 Stagg with Ashley Gibbons’ three hits. Autumn Wendler scattered five hits and struck out six in the Knights’ victory.

“The (games) we’ve lost, we’ve lost by one run,” Lincoln-Way coach Peggy Bobber said. We’ve gotten better every game, and this is the proof of it.”

Richards 15, Argo 0: Carole Gorecki (18-7) threw a no-hitter, striking out 12, to post her sixth consecutive shutout for No. 10 Richards (19-9, 7-0). She walked only one in the SICA North contest. Tia Hojnacki had three hits and four RBIs for the winners.

Chicago Christian 12, Francis Parker 2: Pitcher Julie Drenth and Taylor Brandau each had two hits for Chicago Christian (14-5).

Chicago Vocational 17, Tilden 2: CVS (8-2, 6-2) won in the Public South with Altee Johnson’s three hits.

Juarez 12-12, Farragut 2-4: Liticia Chiquito earned both victories for Juarez (7-3, 7-2) in the Public Central twin bill.

Lockport 4, Andrew 3: Kristin Perry drove in the winning run for the Porters (19-9, 4-3) with a single in the sixth inning of the SICA West game.

Oak Lawn 7, Romeoville 6: Oak Lawn (15-15, 4-3) won the SICA North game in the eighth when Candice Kosty singled home Natalie Mannerino, who had five hits.

Reavis 7, Bolingbrook 4: In the SICA North, Heather Alfrejd went 3 for 4 with three RBIs for Reavis (16-11, 5-2).

Boys volleyball

Sandburg d. Homewood-Flossmoor 15-7, 18-16: Kyle Owens registered seven kills and seven blocks for No. 5 Sandburg (24-5, 8-2) in the SICA West.

Andrew d. Joliet 15-8, 15-8: Andrew (20-6, 9-2) notched the SICA West sweep with Brian Betley’s nine kills and Mazin Qureshi’s 20 assists.

Stagg d. Lincoln-Way 15-9, 15-2: Stagg (23-10) swept the SICA West match with Barry Dickinson’s 12 kills and nine blocks and Tom Hushka’s 14 blocks.

Girls soccer

Eisenhower 8, Thornwood 0: Araceli Izaguirre scored six times for Eisenhower (8-7-1, 6-6) in the SICA East game, setting a school record with 26 goals for the season.

Homewood-Flossmoor 5, Bremen 0: Jennifer Grupe recorded a hat trick for H-F (15-2-1, 12-0) in the SICA South.
