Since it’s introduction to Mexican culture in the 1920’s, the “Mexican Bingo” game has entertained families not only in Mexico and Latin America, but also in the United States.

Now, the traditional card game has been redesigned and now includes “La Feminist” instead of “La Dama” and “El Student Debt” instead of “El Mundo.”

“Millennial Lotería” was created by Mike Alfaro, a 29 year-old Guatemalan-American, who was inspired to add a twist to the game after visiting his family in Guatemala and realizing how outdated the cards were, he told Vivala.

The new cards, first published on his personal instagram @milennialloteria, have taken the internet by storm. They include “La Selfie”, “El Uber”, and “La Gentrification.”

“I think Latino women don’t just wanna be La Dama, they would identify more with La Feminist. If you’ve ever been to Coachella or gone on Snapchat, you probably relate more to La Flower Crown than La Corona,” Alfaro said.

Although the full game isn’t yet available for purchase, a variety of art prints and notebooks are available through Society6.
