Virginia P. Mana-a, nee Perez, age 63, a resident of Mokena, passed away Oct. 3. She was the beloved wife of Lope Mana-a; loving mother of Karen Mana-a, Leni (Michael) Mana-a-Hoppenworth and Louis (Teresa) Mana-a; dear daughter of Magdalina and the late Daniel Perez; cherished sister of Nati (Jesse) Mallaria, Peter Perez, Christopher (Nena) Perez and Anding (Betty) Perez; fond grandmother of Kyle and Brandon Mana-a and Joseph and Sydney Hoppenworth. She was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Perez Jr. Virginia was married 38 loving years, she was a member of Church of the Holy Family in Park Forest and an original member of the Club Pilipina. She was good humored and optimistic, Virginia was a successful entrepreneur, registered nurse and an independent securities investor. She loved crossword puzzles, baking and her rose garden. Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 6 from 2 to 9 p.m. at Hirsch Memorial Chapel, 7151 W. 183rd Street, Tinley Park. Funeral Service will be Thursday, Oct. 7 at Church of the Holy Family in Park Forest at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Worth, IL. Information, 708-532-4700.
