“Hamilton” stars Miguel Cervantes and Samantha Marie Ware sipped some wine and spilled some secrets Sunday on what it’s like to be in the Chicago production of the hit show.

Cervantes, who has lead the show as Alexander Hamilton since opening in the Loop, and Ware, who plays Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds, spoke about what audiences connect with in the musical with Tribune critic Chris Jones.

Both performers answered some questions asked on the Theater Loop’s Facebook page, including how the show has changed since its October opening, what it means to represent the Founding Fathers’ flaws on stage and what may come next.

Grab a class of wine, cheers to Lin-Manuel Miranda and watch the full video. “Hamilton” is currently playing at The PrivateBank Theatre, 18 W. Monroe St.
