The abortion statistics in a recent issue of Newsweek reveal some astounding facts about civil rights abuses.

Seventy percent of women who have abortions are nonwhite.

This means that black, Hispanic and other minority babies have a lesser chance of being born than do white babies.

Fifty-six percent of women having abortions have a family income of less than $11,000. This means that children of low- income families have a much lesser chance of coming into the world.

Common reasons for abortions are: known or suspected mental or physical handicaps; wrong sex (usually female); drug or alcohol addiction by the mother; inconvenience.

Who is looking out for the civil rights of future generations of minorities, women, mentally and physically handicapped people and the offspring of low income families?

I`m all for cutting welfare costs, but not by slaughtering potential recipients!
