Nino Anderson, 29, of 430 Frederick St., Bellwood, was charged with retail theft and battery Thursday after he allegedly attempted to take four bottles of champagne from Dominick’s, 15080 S. La Grange Rd. He is accused of shoving a store employee and biting him on the arm in a struggle to apprehend him. Anderson was treated for lacerations he received when the bottles, which were allegedly in his pants, broke during the scuffle. He is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 24.
