Oprah Winfrey`s recent escapade and con-job trip to Georgia proves once again that the television networks will go to any extreme to raise their ratings, especially in the last weeks of the rating season.

She knew exactly what she was doing by taking her show there and so did the producers and directors. To make sure she, the show and the network got the maximum of notoriety she prohibited blacks from attending, and the local demonstrators from Atlanta, who were there the week before, took the opportunity to again appear before the cameras to escalate their presence.

She and the station might have gained a few rating points, but in doing so, they set Martin Luther King back a hundred years.
