Suspended cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones says he’s delaying filing for reinstatement with the NFL until a possible trade is worked out.
Jones said Tuesday on ESPN Radio he had planned to seek reinstatement but changed his mind.
Commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Jones for the 2007 season for his off-field conduct, which includes six arrests since being drafted.
*Chargers linebacker Stephen Cooper was suspended by the NFL for four games for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy.
*A charge of driving under the influence against Buccaneers linebacker Cato June last year was dropped.
*Canadian Football League linebacker Jamacia Jackson died from an irregular heartbeat caused by an enlarged heart, the Sumter (S.C.) County coroner said.
