Concerning workers’ pension reform, Mayor Rahm Emanuel said the blame lies with legislative, union and city leaders.

It would seem the logical place to begin reform would be with these leaders.

I receive a state pension of $360 a month, no benefits of any kind. It is hard to believe that the workers are the problem.

I have never understood how elected officials can vote raises and other benefits for themselves. In the beginning politicians received nothing. They considered it an honor to serve their country.
