Two rappers with a strong following in the Philadelphia area are accused with a third man of murdering a policewoman in a botched bank robbery Tuesday.

Warren “Steady B” McGlone, 26, was charged Thursday in the slaying of Lauretha Vaird. Police said he was the getaway driver.

After interrogating McGlone, police issued murder warrants Friday for Christopher Roney, 26, also known as “Cool C,” and 22-year-old Mark Canty.

Police said Roney and Canty accosted three bank employees at gunpoint. A manager tripped a silent alarm, and Vaird was shot as she walked through the door. The holdup men fled.

Joe Nicolo, president of the rappers’ label, Ruffhouse Records, said he was stunned.
