Birthday: Sept. 5, 1940.

Birthplace: Chicago, but I lived there only till I was 2. My only recollection is a faint memory of being cold. I would love to have grown up there and been part of the Steppenwolf Theatre, but I’m Latin on my father’s side and happier in temperate climates.

Occupation: Actress, producer and businesswoman.

Current home: Los Angeles.

Marital status: I’ve been married to restaurateur Richard Palmer since July.

Children: Tahnee Welch and Damon James Welch.

Car: A 1997 black Ford Expedition.

Working on: I’m promoting The Raquel Welch Signature Collection of Wigs and Hair Additions in several cities. When I meet women, they ask me about my exercise and diet routines and they say, “How do you do it?”

The last good movie I saw: “American Beauty.”

I stay home to watch: The History Channel, news, “Law & Order” and “Seinfeld” reruns.

Favorite meal: I don’t think about food.

Favorite performer: Bette Midler.

Prized possession: My comfy shoes. They’re a pair of broken-in workout shoes that I’ve had a very long time.

Personal heroes: Jimmy Stewart, FDR, Churchill, Katharine and Audrey Hepburn, Martin Luther King Jr. and Albert Einstein.

People always think I’m: Lately it’s been Sophia Loren, which is pretty cool.

I’m better than anyone else when it comes to: Planning ahead.

I’d give anything to meet: James Gandolfini from “The Sopranos.”

My fantasy is: My husband and I are nude, on a beach in the Caribbean, far from appointments and telephones.

If I could change one thing about myself: I’d worry less.

My most irrational act: My first husband. My second husband was a stupid mistake. My third husband was a rational decision, but not a successful marriage.

Most humbling experience: Every day, waking up and having to start all over again.

The three words that best describe me: I don’t know.
