Singer Rihanna is a recording artist, actress and fashion designer who was born in Barbados and moved to the United States when she was 16. Soon after moving, Rihanna signed a contract with Def Jam Recordings after auditioning for Jay-Z. Rihanna’s 2005 debut album, Music of the Sun, went to number ten on the Billboard 200. The artist has won seven Grammy Awards, five American Music Awards, eighteen Billboard Music Awards and two BRIT Awards.
