KXNet – Bismarck/Minot/Williston/Dickinson

You stay classy, Bismark.

Will Ferrell co-anchored a Bismark, North Dakota newscast last night in character as Ron Burgundy, the legendary — and fictional — San Diego newsman. The broadcast went out on KXNews, a CBS affiliate that covers the Bismark, Minot, Dickinson and Williston markets in North Dakota.

In classic Anchorman style, Ferrell reports on a small trash fire, hits on his co-anchor and quips that his mustache took 20-minutes to grow.

While the video is no doubt a promotional stunt for Anchorman 2, which opens Dec. 18, Ferrell isn’t quite a stranger to local television programming. He’s starred in several ads for Old Milwaukee beer that have notoriously only aired in small TV markets, including one that aired in Texas, Oklahoma and Montana during last year’s Super Bowl.
