Samia Shalaby, 40, of the 400 block of Chatham Circle, Buffalo Grove, was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly jumped on the back of a police officer and pulled his arms as the officer arrested her 16-year-old son outside their home. Police said they were called to the Shalaby home by the boy’s father, who said he was punched in the mouth by the teen. The boy was charged with domestic battery and turned over to juvenile authorities, according to reports. Samia Shalaby was charged with battery. She was released after posting $1,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 28. The boy’s father was treated the same day for facial cuts at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights and released, police said.
