To say movies don’t paint security guards in a flattering light is an understatement.

Here are three that come off looking more like overzealous fools.

“Safety never takes a holiday,” Kevin James says as he rides on his Segway and flirts with the girl working the kiosk.

Far-fetched moment: He pulls over a man on a scooter for reckless driving at the mall. Honorable mention: Getting into a fight with a customer at Victoria’s Secret.

La Fours

The security guard from 1995’s “Mallrats” tries to get Brodie (Jason Lee) and T.S. (Jeremy London) kicked out of the mall before a dating show begins there.

Far-fetched moment: He plants marijuana on them to get them arrested and removed from the mall.

The security boss played by Bernie Mac in “Bad Santa” in 2003 discovers the plot by Santa and his elf to steal merchandise and money from the store safe.

Far-fetched moment: He takes a kid’s mp3 player after catching him stealing video games. Probably didn’t help his image that he wanted a cut of Bad Santa’s heist money.
