The author who gave us literary masterpiece “Twilight” is all set to gift the world with a new book.

This time, Stephenie Meyer is going full-out espionage thriller. “The Chemist,” due out Nov. 15, centers on “an ex-agent on the run from her former employers [who] must take one more case to clear her name and save her life,” according to a news release from publisher Little, Brown and Company.

Does the plot sounds familiar/like pretty much every spy novel/movie? That’s because it’s “the love child created from the union of my romantic sensibilities and my obsession with Jason Bourne/Aaron Cross,” Meyer said in the release. “I very much enjoyed spending time with a different kind of action hero, one whose primary weapon isn’t a gun or a knife or bulging muscles, but rather her brain.”

But also her heart! Plot twist: This mysterious, as-yet-nameless protagonist “finds herself falling for a man who can only complicate her likelihood of survival.” Because of course.

With “The Chemist,” Meyer tries again to step out of the long YA shadow cast by her (in)famous sparkly vampire series. In 2008, she published sci-fi romance novel “The Host” after skyrocketing to fame on the backs of friendly neighborhood vampires the Cullens. Hang on tight, spider monkey.
