It won’t be “30 Rock 2,” but it’s likely to be as funny as “30 Rock.” NBC has ordered 13 episodes of a new sitcom from writer-producers Tina Fey and Robert Carlock and starring Ellie Kemper.

Fey and Carlock are the team behind Emmy Award-winning “30 Rock,” whil Kemper starred as Erin Hannon “The Office.”

In the new single-cam comedy set to debut in fall 2014, Kemper will play “a woman who escapes from a doomsday cult and starts life over in New York City,” an NBC release states.

“We have been lucky enough to work at NBC for our entire careers (except when Robert worked at ‘The Dana Carvey Show,’ now available on DVD) and we thank Bob and Jen for their continued support,” Fey and Carlock say in the release, mentioning NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt and NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke.

Fey and Carlock will serve as writers for the series and will co-executive produce with David Miner.

“Tina and Robert, who cemented their partnership on ’30 Rock,’ have created a new signature comedy for us that is audacious, emotional, and clever,” Greenblatt said. “While tapping into very relatable themes, there isn’t anything like this anywhere else on television. NBC has been their home for many years and we’re so happy that they’ve found another way to push the comedy envelope for us.”
