Today, WWE Superstar John Cena announced on Twitter that he would be curating the “WWE 2K15” soundtrack. The announcement marks a trend of famous celebrities partnering with 2K Games titles, following Pharrell’s announcement he would be curating the soundtrack for this year’s “NBA 2K15”. In addition, Cena himself partnered with Wiz Khalifa for two songs.

Cena’s history with rap is well-documented. Following a 2002 Halloween episode of “WWE Smackdown” where he dressed as Vanilla Ice, he then adopted a character that would rap about his opponent. Some of them were pretty good!

These new tracks mark the first raps from Cena since releasing an album called “You Can’t See Me” back in 2005.

The songs, “All Day” and “Breaks” are harmless enough for what they are. Cena is a passable rhymer. Save for a throwaway Chicago lyric on “All Day” (“I’m not from Chi-city but i’m Common on the Corner.”) it might behoove him to stick to cage matches.

The tracklist for “WWE 2K15” is pretty solid, especially the additions of Royal Blood and Khalifa’s “We Dem Boyz”, which is my favorite song of 2014. The full list is below

“All Day” – Wiz Khalifa feat. John Cena

“Ready”- B.o.B feat. Future

“Free” – Rudimental feat. Emeli Sande and Nas

“We Dem Boyz” – Wiz Khalifa

“Wild Ones”- Flo Rida feat. Sia

“Bonfire”- Knife Party

“Workin'”- Big Smo feat. Alexander King

“Ghost” – Mystery Skulls

“Come on Over”- Royal Blood

“Breaks” – Wiz Khalifa feat. John Cena

The soundtrack is available for pre-order now on iTunes. The game will be released on Oct. 28 for PS3 and Xbox 360 and Nov. 21 for PS4 and Xbox One. Listen to the Khalifa/Cena collaborations below.
